The River is a quadraphonic piece that makes use of two contrasting field recordings. These are a recording of inside one of Canberra’s iconic bus shelters and a recording from the picturesque Molonglo river. A layer of free improvisation is added to the soundscape as well along with synthetic sounds, blending the natural and artificial.
